Teen Entrepreneur Boot Camp is an intense, hands-on entrepreneurial experience teaching teens the ins-and-outs of starting a business by giving them a REAL product to launch. They collaborate with inventors, product developers, fashion designers or business owners to learn about retail, wholesale, and manufacturing. Professionals share their expertise with the teens to give them the starting point they need to proceed with their planning efforts.

In the past, teens have learned to open a temporary retail business that they create, design, market and operate. They have transformed empty storefronts in the South Street Seaport and the landmark Keuffel and Esser building in Lower Manhattan into real operating espresso bars open to the public for two days during each workshop!  

This winter, we introduced a new business model that teaches wholesale and manufacturing. Working alongside a fashion designer, the teens figure out how to launch the designer's products into the marketplace - - they have a one week deadline to find a factory and create a marketing and sales strategy.
 
ALL workshops culminate with a written business plan that can be included in a student's portfolio for school.
