Distinguished Young Woman of America - Madison Leonard
In June of 2010, Distinguished Young Women celebrated the 53rd Annual National Finals and proudly watched as Madison Leonard of Idaho became the first Distinguished Young Woman of America. In addition to her $40,000 scholarship, Madison also won a preliminary award in talent for a grand total of $41,000 in cash scholarships from the national competition. She also won $9100 from her state and local programs.
Madison is a graduate of Coeur d'Alene High School and plans to pursue a career in journalism at Pepperdine University.
